Grover's Disease
Question: An uncle has been diagnosed with Grover's disease. He is on steroids but would like to get off them. Is there any other form of treatment to aide the itching. Will this disease ever go away? What is the prognosis?

Answer: Grover's Disease is a condition of the skin which produces a particular rash and intense itching. The current treatment is steroids applied topically and it is based on symptomatic treatment. Topical antihistamines are occasionally of use as is use of collodial oatmeal baths. The prognosis is usually good and the disease is generally self-limited.
